I love it all! Particularly Sawyer's Churchill speech. Great stuff.

Radzinsky also survives the Purge. He's the guy who's Inman's partner, draws the blast door map, and then kills himself in the Swan.

True - and why was Radzinsky so concerned if an Other learned about their plans for the Swan Hatch? Does the creation of the Swan somehow cause negative reaction to the Others? Or is it simply over the boundaries drawn by the truce? Lots to think about...

And if Radzinsky survived the purge but still KNEW it was caused by poisonous gas from the "Hostiles", that would def. explain why he, Inman, and then Desmond all thought they were quarantined in the Swan an wore those hazmat suits whenever they went outside.

Could the reason that Sun did not go back 30 years be that she is the baby born to Marvin Candle?

I've already left this at the blog comments, but here you go guys

Here's a snapshot of that part where someone is behind Sun: http://i44.tinypic.com/23r94yd.jpg

And here's a scaled down version of the scene: http://pt-br.tinypic.com/player.php?v=2qs9b9l&s=5

It's definitely not a production error. The head turning a looking Sun's way it's totally purposed, and creepy btw, in HD you can see some creepy kind of stare.

hey everyone:

that was definitely Claire in the background. Here's a picture with the brightness turned up a bit so she's easier to spot behind Sun:

maybe in an unedited version of the scene, she had a line or two? to show she's still hanging out with her Dad? That scene felt rushed to me. I wish it would've been longer.

also, here's next week's preview:

That does look like Clare. I'm glad all you HD watchers are out there, cuz I never pick up on those hidden little details while watching myself! It's creepy how her head snaps to attention when Christian says "you have a journey ahead of you."

This episode was so great in setting up all kinds of new questions about the Sayid-Ben relationship. Is Sayid the one that drives Ben to the Others? Or is Ben already working with Richard? Does Season 2 Ben/Henry Gale recognize Sayid when he is tortured by him in the Hatch?

And at one point do Ben and Richard really figure out the time travel stuff? Have they time traveled at all, or are they are only characters actually living a straight, chronological life? I'm assuming Richard's visits to Locke throughout his life aren't time travel, it's just that Richard never ages.

So many questions. I love it!

I think that Faraday is gone in the sense that he is time travelling. Perhaps he is in a coma-like state somewhere in in the 1977 compound, but he's travelling around in the present or recent past. I mean he does work with Marvin in the video we've seen, so my money is that he's figured out how to move back and forth intentionally, which our other losties can't do yet..

(CUTE NEW PICTURE JABBADOO!!!)   Cheesy

I'm wondering what the deal is with Sun, Ben, Lapidus AND Locke not going back in time as well.  I like the idea that it's because they are unworthy because of their off-island shenanigans... interesting.

I thought it was rather corny that Sayid got caught so easily.  I mean, the man is practically a ninja, but he just gets caught running through the field?  P'shaw...

I was thinking maybe Ben is the one that gets shot by Juliet (in the outrigger) and that's why he's in the "injured" area when Locke finds him (or I guess it could be because Sun whacked him on the head with a paddle... d'oh!).

If possible, I fall in love with Sawyer more and more as he morphs into Mr. Badass Island Dude.  SIGH!

I didn't EVEN catch the woman behind Sun!  After looking at the screencap several times though, I'm not sure it's Claire.  It would be really funny if it was just a production mistake!  Here's a link (don't know if it will work right!)http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n3eH1jI8AZ8/ScHiCU8IVII/AAAAAAAAPiQ/m280-b_NbFw/s1600-h/509+sun+woman2.jpg
However, it totally makes sense that Claire would be there, but I'm really beginning to think she and Christian are on the bad side.  Don't know why, it just seems they are spooky.  How in the heck are they going to get Sun and Ben back in time?  And what about Locke - we don't know anything about where his journey is going, even though it's obviously central to the whole thing.

Why did they show that one new crash survivor guy so prominently when Lapidus is giving his speech?  http://getlostpodcast.iimmgg.com/image/a0f3eb7b5904df1f5e5e24a02048a215

The time travel thing is getting me more and more confused!  Did Ben remember Sayid later on?  Usually when I ask this, the answer is "no" because in the timeline of Ben and Sayid after the crash Sayid hadn't traveled back in time yet.  But somehow I think he MUST remember!

And finally, am I hallucinating, or did Kate see Sawyer and Juliet kissing?

This episode suggests, with Ethan being named, that Richard is seeming more and more like the only Island original. Of course that puts Ethan at around 27 in 2004, and he looks more 40ish, but that is something I am willing to not really care about right now. It is just looking more like Richard is alone in his situation.

It was nice to hears the whispers again, when Sun and Frank went into DHARMA-ville.  I'm beginning to think the whispers we've always heard in the jungles and stuff is a result of the properties of time.  They were in DHARMA-ville and 30 years before that place was bustling with life and excitement and people talking... Voices carry and those are the whispers people here.  Like alittle easter egg of times gone by... just a thought.

Something that struck me - and I don't know if it has been brought up - is that of the 6 original Losties who are in 1977 (Kate, Jack, Hurley, Sawyer, Jin, Sayid), 4 of them comprised the list to be kidnapped by the Others at the end of Season 2 (Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sawyer) because they were "special". Could Alpert have decided they were "special" because he remembered them or something they did from 1977? If this is so, then possibly it does not bode well for Jin and Sayid. Maybe there is something to it, maybe not, but it is something else to consider.

Hi all. First time posting. I discovered this blog a year ago at work and fell in love.
I've never written before cause i just liked to read the posts, but after last night, I had a brain spasm.

In the preview for next week, Sayid says he knows what he's here to do now. I'm assuming it is to kill young ben...
Now we know that he cannot kill young ben because ben is alive in the future and whatever happened, happened.

However, and this is where my mind exploded...
What if Desmond comes back to the island because the island is not done with him yet on a revenge mission assuming ben killed penny. And if Desmond is somehow "special" and can change the past...kills young ben...meaning ben would not be alive to kill Penny in 2008...meaning Desmond killing young ben = penny not dead

i think my brain is melting.

Oh yeah, and to whom was Iliana referring when she said "Sarah" after 316 crashed?
