Great post, Brian! I think that next week, Ben's flashback will back up what you said: That Jacob isn't real. Or, if he IS real, it will be someone like Marvin Candle, because the previews showed some old Dharma action. (Plus, I think I saw that he is guest starring in next week's episode) Good to have you back!

A repeat of comment from the comments section...but for those not reading them anymore...

Heather's TWO word reaction to this analysis...OH YA!!!

It amaizes me week after week where you get your information and thoughts but this one is a shocker...it all makes perfect sense!

I especially loved the thoughts on Ben...I have been saying for about three weeks now that Ben is the wizard of oz...just like the gate keeper in "the wizard", he is making everyone fear the wizard only to learn there isn't one. I think the baby situation is Ben's desperate attempt to keep island life continuing and has forgotten about the REAL reason they are all on the island...which is??? I wonder if any of the others know that ALEX IS REALLY NOT BEN'S DAUGHTER?Huh Maybe they all think she really is his? They have no idea about CFL???

Okay, this brings me to another thought...MITTELOSE BIO-SCIENCE...obviously the others are not JUST the others...how else does a 'tribe' of people from an island (secret island) have a super huge laboratory/secret bulding that they have MASSIVE security for-in uh, Portland??? I believe more and more that this is in direct connection to DHARMA...perhaps even the ponytail guy TW Mittlewerk we saw in the ARG last summer. But, I may be going to far on that...anyway, I just thought there has to be more and you opened it up for discussion with your comment on them possibly teaming up rather than there being a takeover.

WHAT IF there was never a take over at all, what if it was just an island and DHARMA shows up to do research and learns of other inhabitants...then in trying to find out secrets of the island that obviously has strange properties...they find out about stuff they shouldn't and then in an attempt to HIDE it all, they pretend the program was dismantled way back then...only to continue to stock it with button pushers.

Go back to the blast door map and look a those words around the outside again...there is more there to look at now that we have been a whole season further down the road.

Okay, all that said and now I feel like I may be pushing another idea that has been pushed aside...such as smokey, the sickness, the map of hatches, the healing properties...the differnce in all of these, smokey has reappeared and we are still in the middle of healing. the others have been dismissed. Did I forget anything? Oh ya, the caves...not a good example, but forgotten none the less...polar bears and so on.

I am not saying Charile is the savior but no other character on this show has so willingly gave his life for all the others to survive...ya, Des was gonna but we all know he knew it wouldn't be him, he saw the flashes...DUH!  If I had a guarantee I would not die, I might have jumped in too.  MAYBE

Here's what I posted in Brian's blog:

Great job Brian! I love the analysis of Alpert. Makes sense to me. CFL's appearance makes more sense now. My favorite line: "Patchy

I wouldn't say that I'm Jacob... but I also wouldn't say that I'm not Jacob, if you know what I mean...Wink

I don't have much to add.  The episode was great and the review was awesome.  I'm in a state of speechless awe/excitement.  If, as we imagine, the last 3 episodes kick the adrenaline up a notch, you'll be able to find me glued to my TV and/or this blog with glazed eyes and a little drool on my chin for the next 3 weeks.  If only real life were as captivating as LOST.

Drudo...DIDDO!!!!!!!

I have noticed a more stunned reaction to my viewing lost and then the blog readings...it all seems to really take a day to settle into...I wonder how long it will take for me to be a rational poster these next few weeks???  Truth be told, it never was that rational to begin with  HA HA...
by the way, the rest of my signature is up to interpretation!
